Our Breakfast

Home Baked MuffinsWe offer a real old-fashioned hearty and healthy Nova Scotia breakfast. Each and every morning, Marion bakes either muffins or old-fashioned Scottish scones, and this is the nice aroma which will greet you as come down to breakfast, listening to Nova Scotia  music on our Bose system.

And it is a full breakfast.  You start with orange juice and three kinds of fresh fruit, and homemade granola. Then either scrambled eggs (free range) and Maple Leaf bacon, or waffles with Canadian maple syrup, or French-toast, or a three-cheese omelette, or blueberry pancakes - dependant totally on what Marion feels like making that particular morning.  Then make toast from at least three kinds of homemade bread (including, perhaps, real Newfoundland "bologna white bread" baked by our friend Jim the Sailor/Baker) and spread on Fresh Blueberry Pancake Breakfastit Marion's homemade strawberry or peach jam (made from peaches picked from our own tree).  Fresh coffee and tea with another muffin and scone (baked just a few moments before) add a nice finishing touch.  All of our guests leave us fully sufficed to face the day's adventures.

Please let us know ahead of time if you have any allergies of which we should be aware.  We can accommodate a gluten-free diet.
